I called her Frida Kahlo.

Due to the excessive births, her anus has prolapsed. The tissues have entered necrosis and emergency surgery is required tomorrow. She'll be under in-patient care in the clinic so someone can keep an eye on her an condition.

Extremely thin, she's lost a large part of her body weight.

Tomorrow we need to make X-ray photos, blood tests and biochemistry, a canine 4D test, and then surgery.

The price for Frida's life is 700 BGN (350 EUR).

Frida, one month later.

All the dogs in the shelter ignore her, newcomers are usually barked at, but they only sniffed her and went back to their business.

Unfortunately, a chunk of the large intestine had necrotised and had to be removed to save her life.

For the moment, she's still incontinent and defecates often, 2-3 times per hour. I hope she improves with time, because no one will adopt her in a house like that. We currently need to do a butt-washing at least two times per day.

But she's a very sunny and playful soul.

Next week she's due for spaying in Gergiovche clinic, Vratsa. She's currently on a diet on Hills Gastro kibble, and her ehrlichiosis treatment is almost finished.
